Terms & Conditions

Please read these terms and conditions as by placing an order with us you agree to being bound by them.

Placing your order

Payment for goods will be taken in full at the time of order; we do not take deposits or reservations on any of our products. You will receive an order confirmation from us as soon as we have received and processed your order. We reserve the right to cancel any order and refund any monies paid if an order has been placed on an item that has been incorrectly priced on this website.

We have taken great care to provide you with as much product information as possible, the measurements have been provided to us by the manufacturers, if the measurements of a piece of furniture are crucial to your order, please contact us and we will endeavour to get the exact measurements you require. Photographs are for illustrative purposes and it should be noted that colour of the product may vary from the picture, due to flash photography and the different properties on computer monitors.

Cancelling your order

You may cancel your order up to 3 days after placing it with us to receive a full refund, providing that we have not already dispatched the item for delivery. If you wish to cancel after this time a cancellation fee will apply at 25% of the order total.

Delivery

Delivery times of the goods are based on the approximate time it will take for the items to arrive at our warehouse, we then endeavour to deliver your order within 7-10 days. The delivery must always be received and signed for by an adult. If we attempt to deliver as arranged, but there is no-one present to take the delivery we will charge a failed delivery fee to recover some of our costs. We will not be liable for any direct or indirect costs arising from a failure or delay in delivering your order which is caused by any event or circumstance that is beyond our reasonable control. Returns & Refunds

If any items are damaged on delivery we will replace the goods at no extra cost. Damages need to be reported to us within 3 days, we will need photographic evidence of the damage.

Should you wish to return any goods within 7 days of receipt, please contact us immediately to arrange collection. All returns must be in perfect condition and suitably packaged in their original packaging to avoid any damage during transit. Any item that is not packaged as stated will not be collected, and a failed collection charge will be levied against any refunds. Once the items have been received by us and inspected, we will issue a refund less the cost of delivery and collection. As our delivery charge is heavily discounted, the collection fee may be greater than the delivery charge, you may return the goods to us yourself, but you will remain responsible for the goods in transit, and any damage will be your responsibility.

We will not accept returns on any item of furniture that has been assembled, or where assembly has been attempted, therefore please check all items thoroughly before attempting assembly (i.e. beds and wardrobes) if any parts are damaged we will replace the damaged part. Mattresses cannot be returned if they have been removed from their packaging, if you wish to try your mattress please keep it sealed in the packaging until you are satisfied that you wish to keep it.

Aftersales care

All our furniture comes with a 12 month manufacturers guarantee against defects. Our mattresses come with a 5 year manufacturers guarantee. Our furniture is manufactured from a wide range of products to give you the most choice in style and finishes. Our wood furniture may be constructed from solid wood or a mix of solid wood and real wood veneers. Our wood veneers are very thin layers of real wood, laminated on to wood particle board, this is done to provide stability in areas where a solid panel of wood would shrink, split or warp with variances in humidity and temperature.

We use a variety of solid natural woods in our furniture products. When purchasing a piece of furniture it is important to remember that wood is a natural product. The most obvious characteristic of wood is the grain pattern; some species in particular oak can have visible white markings within the grain known as medullary rays. Colour, grain and tone variation within a single piece of furniture or between two pieces of the same range is not uncommon, as different parts of the wood will absorb more stain or oil than others. This is not a fault, but a natural characteristic of wood. It is also natural for the wood to mellow and mature with age. Wax and oil finished wood will often show small cracks or splits in the grain as the wood acclimatises, this is normal and should not affect the quality of your furniture.

Our furniture is finished in lacquer, oil, wax or paint, none of which provide any heat protection. Lacquered furniture is easily cared for with regular dusting and removing any marks with a clean damp cloth. Oil and wax finishes will require more care, and may sometimes need reapplication of the finish. Spillages should be cleared up quickly from all furniture. It is also important to protect your wood furniture from excessive heat and moisture as this can cause movement resulting in splitting or warping. When moving your furniture it is important to lift and not to drag it as dragging can cause joints to become unstable.

Privacy Policy

Your details will remain confidential throughout the order process, we will use your details to process and fulfil your order, and if you consent, we will keep you informed of any promotional activities of 1st price furniture. We will pass your details on to our delivery partner when necessary to carry out a delivery on our behalf, but we do not give or sell personal data to any third party companies.
