Devonshire Pine is an independently-owned furniture company currently employing over 200 people who are local to the Bideford area. They are proud to be one of the biggest employers in North Devon and have a very strong reputation in the UK furniture trade for products being of top quality, fantastic value for money, and for providing excellent service. Started in 1986 by Managing Director Peter Hockin in Devon, they made one range of solid pine furniture. Their success grew and grew and they are now the largest manufacturer of pine furniture in the UK. They still use traditional furniture making processes in their pine furniture manufacture, such as tongue & groove backs and bases, and dovetail joints.

All pine furniture is manufactured from kiln-dried Scandinavian redwood. The timber is delivered to the 150,000 sq/ft factory in Bideford - from where it is machined, assembled, sprayed, and packed ready for delivery to customers all over the UK. 

Devonshire Pine continue to heavily invest in their modern factory premises. In the past 12 months Devonshire Pine's infrastructure has expanded to include a new 40,000 sq/ft warehouse and two new spray shops to allow for more Devonshire Pine furniture to be manufactured with their increasingly popular painted finish.

Quality Pine Furniture

Devonshire Pine's most popular Pine range has long been the Badger Pine range which was often finished in traditional lacquers, and featured shaped plinths, however since the launch of Devonshire Pine's chunky pine range, called Devon Chunky Pine which is more contemporary with it's straight lines and slatted style beds, it is now fast becoming their best selling range. Devon Chunky pine is most popular in the Antique wax finish with wooden knob handles, and provides a real value for money range with it's large pieces.

Devonshire Pine are also one of the biggest distributers in the UK of oak furniture. The oak ranges Devonshire Pine market are absolutely exclusive to them. Again, the reason why Devonshire Pine's oak ranges have taken off so successfully is because of the hallmarks of top quality, price, and service. The oak ranges are manufactured within a modern factory environment in China, before being shipped and delivered to Devonshire Pine's warehouse in their main Bideford location. Devonshire Pine's most popular ranges are Devonshire New Solid Oak and Devonshire Rustic Oak both being their longest serving oak ranges.
